I enjoy my county's (King County, Seattle) willingness to educate those of us who live here.

I have saved thousands of dollars in local services, entertainment, art productions, media, bus fares, health care etc, just by watching King County TV. Plus it's nice to know who my representatives are. If I see them at the local market or hardware store I can cheer them on their progresses.
Most county's in the United States have a website. If you are planning on a move to new pastures, this information is the most real time info out there. Educate yourself! It is free.
